Symptoms of Pregnancy in First Week

What are the symptoms of pregnancy in first week?

Even before you miss your periods, you may sometimes get some early signs of pregnancy. But many early signs of pregnancy can sometimes feel similar to premenstrual symptoms too.

When do the early signs of pregnancy start?

Do you remember when you had your past periods? This date is considered week 1 of pregnancy – yes, even if you were not pregnant at this date. Then week 2 of pregnancy is the next week from your period and so on. So do women get the symptoms of pregnancy in first week?

Even before you miss your periods, you may sometimes get some early signs of pregnancy. For some women, early symptoms of pregnancy start to show up in the first few weeks after conception. However, other women may just experience no pregnancy symptoms at all. It’s only when they take a pregnancy test at home that they come to know about their pregnancy.

Many early signs of pregnancy can sometimes feel similar to premenstrual symptoms too. So the best way to find out about your pregnancy is to take a pregnancy test at home. However, if you are willing to wait for a missed period (the earliest sign of pregnancy) to take the test, the following list is for you. These are also the symptoms of pregnancy in first month.

These are some of the early signs of pregnancy (pregnancy symptoms week 1) before a missed period:

  • Painful breasts: this could be a sign that you’re pregnant, but it could also just be because you’re going through puberty.
  • Feeling low on energy
  • Sensitivity to smell
  • Rise in your basal metabolic temperature (normal body temperature)
  • Tiredness: this could be a sign that you’re pregnant – though obviously there could be other causes!
  • Nausea: if you’ve been feeling sick for a few days, especially in the morning, it’s a good idea to do a pregnancy test.
  • Your period doesn’t start.
  • You only have a very small amount of bleeding. Sometimes you can have a little bleeding when you’re pregnant.
  • Headaches
  • Constipation
  • Feeling lightheaded or dizzy – as if you are fainting
  • Mood sings
  • Aversion to some foods
  • Frequent urination

How soon can you get early signs of pregnancy?

Before you miss your periods, you may notice some symptoms like sensitivity to smell and tender breasts. These symptoms may appear in some women as soon as a few days after conception.

However, many women may get other early symptoms of pregnancy like spotting or nausea almost one week after the sperm meets egg. After two weeks of conceiving many women may also have pregnancy symptoms like tender breasts and frequent urination. That said, early pregnancy symptoms appear at various times in different women. So these early signs of pregnancy are no way of detecting a pregnancy.

If you have had unprotected sex and worried about pregnancy, please take a home pregnancy test at the earliest.

Dear Amrachi these are not conclusive signs of any sort for pregnancy. Symptoms don’t come so soon anyway. It’s perhaps fear and nervousness more than anything else. And if you want to check - do a home test - after 10 days of this act... and then NEVER have sex without a condom. Ok? https://lovematters.in/hi/pregnancy/home-pregnancy-tests-dos-and-donts https://lovematters.in/hi/pregnancy/unsure-about-being-pregnant/unsafe-sex-missed-period-am-i-pregnant If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our Facebook and Instagram: https://www.facebook.com/lovematters.india?mibextid=LQQJ4d https://instagram.com/lovemattersindia?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Poornima, have you had any unsafe sex? during ovulation? was your last sex expose more than 10 days ago at least - if so - take a home pregnancy test - and clear your mind. At least that will be out of the way. https://lovematters.in/hi/pregnancy/home-pregnancy-tests-dos-and-donts If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, "Just Ask” https://lovematters.in/en/forum
Harshita, your question is not clear. If the test is done 10 days (minimum) after an episode of unsafe sex - and it is done correctly - as per guidelines, usually the result is quite reliable. However to rule out margin of error you can repeat the test - with a morning urine sample. That will make it even more effective. Ok Bete? Please write back if needed. https://lovematters.in/hi/pregnancy/home-pregnancy-tests-dos-and-donts If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, "Just Ask” https://lovematters.in/en/forum
Listen puttar, it is a very big misconception that pull out method or sperm exit does not pregnancies because even a sperm is too high to be pregnant, read: https://lovematters.in/hi/news/10-most-common-contraception-myths If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, "Just Ask” https://lovematters.in/en/forum
A day after period? No Pregnancy chance is very low...The supporting environment for pregnancy in the female uterus just finished degenerating before a day .So the uterus at the time you had intercourse might have gradually getting ready to support pregnancy(if possible) when ovulation(most fertile period) takes place which is likely 14 days after a female has completed her mensuration(if her mensuration cycle is 28 days). So I advise you to not have intercourse(if you are not ready to get pregnant) from 10th day to 15th day of mensuration cycle as the sperm have capacity to live in uterus for 2-3 days. Also try to use some Condom or ask your gf to intake hormonal tablets(only after consulting doctor)like saheli etc to prevent pregnancy. Luck will not be always your side!
Thank you for your valuable comment!! So, we always suggest to do safe sex, not only to prevent from the unwanted pregnancy but to prevent also from other sexually transmitted diseases. f you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, "Just Ask” https://lovematters.in/en/forum
Dear Paul it is not a reliable way to protect it from unwanted pregnancy, because without a condom, the penis entered in the vagina is always considered to be unfairly, because one drop of sperm can also be enough to have a pregnancy. And one more thing, is that, the use of the expulsion method or pull out method doesn't protect against any sexually transmitted disease. Sex without any sort of protection - is never really safe! And to get the more "fertile" dates - you can use a Ovulation Calculator to measure the girls dates - those must be avoided - obviously you must avoid sex those days but just a reminder - this is not a real guarantee that nothing at all will happen - just keep in mind..OK!! What is the situation now? If the sex was unsafe, then chances of pregnancy may be there. Take a home pregnancy test at the earliest. Then consult a registered doctor and see what can be done. Also, you can contact FPAI clinic information about which you can get at their website. https://lovematters.in/en/resource/unplanned-pregnancy https://www.fpaindia.org/ If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, "Just Ask” https://lovematters.in/en/forum
No bete! There is no problem with sex during period, if the equal wishes of both partners are involved. And condoms are also required to be used to avoid any infection. https://lovematters.in/hi/resource/faqs-period https://lovematters.in/hi/news/sex-during-my-period-do-i-need-contraception If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, "Just Ask” https://lovematters.in/en/forum

I complete periods,, but after periods 3-4 days later..I feel vomit, stomach ache, tiredness, constipation nd more of symptoms get in my body same days,, what this causes of pregnancy?
Doubtful bete! If you have had a complete period - as usual - these symptoms are not conclusive of a pregnancy, in fact the chances are very low. These may be symptoms for something else as well - BUT if you have got some days mixed up - then its difficult to say so do a home test and be clear - Ok? https://lovematters.in/hi/pregnancy/home-pregnancy-tests-dos-and-donts If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, "Just Ask” https://lovematters.in/en/forum

Seems as if you are talking about a pregnancy check? well, if you have sex during ovulation, - 10 days or so later you can do a Home test to see if there is a pregnancy . For more accurate levels - you will have to meet a lab. https://www.babycentre.co.uk/ovulation-calculator If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, "Just Ask” https://lovematters.in/en/forum

We are having intercourse on my 16 day after my period. 30th day light brownish flow occur then stopped. But I don't feel any preganency symptoms except pack pain. But till period is absent. There is a changes of preganency
The days you are mentioning are mid cycle so yes this can be a sign of pregnancy - it is common to not have very early symptoms - so you may not get to know so early. Please asap, do a home pregnancy test and find out. https://lovematters.in/hi/pregnancy/home-pregnancy-tests-dos-and-donts If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, "Just Ask” https://lovematters.in/en/forum
If you are still having periods after unsafe sex, then there are virtually no chances of being pregnant. But just to be on the safe side, it would be wise to take a home pregnancy test. Please use condom next time. If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, ‘Just Ask’ https://lovematters.in/en/forum
Its been about one month from my last period date .. i had not got my periods till now..nd i didn’t have any intercourse too.. i don’t know what’s wrong... plzz tell me something about it ..?
Don't be so afraid of it... Sometimes periods are late, it may be due to stress, tension or hormonal changes... So the best would be to see a few days and then find a doctor. Hello Madam, My wife has 21 days mc cycle. We had sex after 3 days of last period. Its been 5 days over after her expected periods date.. Are there chances of pregnancy even if we do unprotected intercouse within first 4-5 days after 5 days of mc are over ?
Abhi bete if the sex was unsafe, then chances of pregnancy may be there. Take a home pregnancy test after 10 days of unsafe sex and confirm the situation first. i think i had last intercourse in the month of march, i missed my periods in april, so i did a pregnancy test in may around the 2nd may- it came negative, as i had PCOD, i thought it could be delayed because i used to have problems of irregular cycles. however on 12th of may slight spotting and 2 days light periods happened. after 15th may until now the end of july i again did not get my periods.Today morning I did my pregnancy test, it came positive. Now I am confused if I am pregnant or not because i had negative in May and positive in July. And if i am pregnant how did it happen after 4 months of intercourse. Please explain.
Oh Dear God - it is very confusing. BUT the deciding factor seems t be, your last result is Positive. Bete - do one more test OR go see a doctor - she can do a exam and find out... and along with you can even show her your PCOD matters... Yes? Go Ahead and let us know what has finally emerged. Best of luck Beta https://lovematters.in/hi/our-bodies/irregular-periods-could-it-be-pcod If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, "Just Ask" . https://lovematters.in/en/forum

So but is very exceptional cases. https://lovematters.in/hi/resource/unplanned-pregnancy https://lovematters.in/hi/pregnancy/home-pregnancy-tests-dos-and-donts If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, "Just Ask” https://lovematters.in/en/forum
Hi Yasmen beta - use the link to the Ovulation Calendar given below bete. That will help you . You can even test/check the calendar by putting older dates - confirm your cycle of last two months - since now you know when your periods came - and now chart ahead Best of luck. Be cool and dont get impatient. If your cycle is regular - which seems to be varying - you will just need to be relaxed and comfortable. You can check a Home test 10 days after the last time you had sex on any of the fertile days. You period ought t have come by now - do a test now. Best of luck https://lovematters.in/en/our-bodies/ovulation-calendar-how-to-calculate-ovulation https://lovematters.in/hi/pregnancy/home-pregnancy-tests-dos-and-donts If you would like to join in on a further discussion on this topic, join our discussion board, "Just Ask” https://lovematters.in/en/forum
